Olal Amos Jerome is a Biomedical Engineer and the Deputy Chief Technology Officer at Agrovision Uganda. With expertise in data science, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems, Olal plays a key role in developing AI and IoT systems for Agrovision’s agricultural innovations.
Before joining Agrovision, Olal worked as a Data Scientist at Envisoft Consultants Limited and as the Research Lead at Medfix Biomedical Company. His commitment to using advanced technology for global health and agriculture solutions is evident in notable projects like PnumoAI, a deep learning tool assisting East African radiologists with chest X-ray interpretation, and SafeMed, a co-founded mobile app offering affordable healthcare services.
Driven by a passion for machine learning, robotics, nanotechnology, and electronics, Olal focuses on creating impactful innovations for low-resource settings worldwide. His work at Agrovision champions new approaches to sustainable agriculture that emphasize health benefits and resilience for smallholder farmers.

Obete Oscar Jacob is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with extensive expertise in management and financial accounting, as well as project management. His unique blend of technical and financial skills plays a crucial role in effectively managing Agrovision Uganda’s finances, ensuring sustainability and strategic growth.
As a co-founder of Agrovision, Oscar is not only instrumental in financial operations but also contributes to the company’s innovative projects. He is the visionary behind the Smart Scarecrow, a groundbreaking project that integrates modern technology into traditional farming practices to address crop protection challenges.
Oscar’s commitment to leveraging his engineering background, combined with his financial acumen, has been pivotal in driving Agrovision’s mission to provide sustainable, tech-driven solutions for agricultural transformation in Uganda and beyond.
I.T. Officer, Agrovision Uganda
Tumukugize Mark is the I.T. Officer at Agrovision Uganda. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and has extensive experience in systems administration, database programming, and computer maintenance. Mark is also responsible for managing Agrovision’s social media platforms and developing software systems tailored to support the company’s innovative projects. His expertise ensures the organization’s technological infrastructure is robust while enhancing its online presence and operational efficiency.

She has undergone specialized training in crisis management, leadership, and guidance, equipping her with exceptional skills in team coordination and mentorship within the accounting department.
In her previous role at Blue King Breweries, Kia excelled in recording and analyzing sales, demonstrating a keen ability to implement effective financial strategies.
At Agrovision Uganda, she leverages her experience in precise data management and financial reporting to support the organization’s financial operations. Her contributions have been instrumental in promoting efficient financial practices, enhancing accountability, and advancing the organization’s mission.
Namakula Janet

Namakula Janet is a co-founder and dedicated Electrical and Electronics Engineer at Agrovision.
In her roles as Assistant Operations Manager and Drone Project Manager, she brings extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced engineering solutions, with a strong focus on applications in agriculture. Janet plays a pivotal role in integrating innovative engineering practices to drive efficiency, sustainability, and automation in the agricultural sector.
At Agrovision, Janet leverages her expertise in electronics design, automation, and IoT to create smart agricultural systems that enhance production processes. She is highly passionate about renewable energy and is a strong advocate for sustainable agricultural practices, dedicating herself to developing energy-efficient, eco-friendly technologies that reduce waste and support sustainable farming.

Ekwang Brian Sylas is a visionary entrepreneur and a driving force behind the transformation of Uganda’s agricultural sector through technology and innovation. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AgroVision Uganda, Brian blends his technical expertise, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit to steer the company toward revolutionizing agriculture with cutting-edge solutions.
A Biomedical Engineer by training, Brian possesses a diverse skill set encompassing Embedded Systems, Instrumentation, Team Building and Leadership, Project Management, and Design. This unique combination of technical proficiency and strategic leadership allows him to foster innovation and operational excellence within AgroVision Uganda.
Brian’s leadership has been pivotal in AgroVision Uganda’s success. He played a key role in the company’s participation in the six-month Uganda Climate Innovation Fund program, where their innovation was recognized among the top 20 in the country. Nakalema Ann Asumpta

Ann is an innovation and technology enthusiast who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. She is also an alumnus of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) cohort 8. Alongside her leadership role at Agrovision, she serves as an I.T. Officer at Soar Research Foundation, where her expertise in technology supports impactful research and innovation. Nakalema is the visionary behind Agrovision’s groundbreaking solar incubator project, which led the company to a landmark victory at the AYUTE Africa Challenge, season 3.
Okoci Samuel Peter

Okoci Samuel Peter is the founder, Chief Technology Officer, and a dedicated researcher at Agrovision Uganda. As an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a strong commitment to agritech, Samuel has pioneered several impactful solutions, including the award-winning Smart Kuku Brooder, which won the AYUTE Africa Challenge season 2 and has received multiple recognitions for supporting sustainable poultry farming among smallholder farmers.
Samuel also leads the Agrovision technical team responsible for developing numerous other Agricultural Technologies currently onboard at Agrovision. Additionally, he serves as an Automation Engineer at Uganda’s Lato Milk, where he applies his technical expertise to advance the dairy sector and strengthen agricultural value chains.
A seasoned entrepreneur and alumnus of the Youth Startup Academy Uganda (YSAU) cohort 3, Samuel is an experienced hardware and embedded systems programmer. His leadership, technical skills, and research acumen continue to drive Agrovision’s mission to empower farmers and promote sustainable, technology-driven agriculture across Uganda.
